LAY LINES

Lay Lines: Is a playful iron, sculptured, square spring, reminiscent of the Slinky from the 1950’s.  The sculpture is an interactive artwork that doesn’t require any energy source to move other then one’s imagination. It is very flexible to the touch and depending on how the viewer touches it, it can dance and/or vibrate.  It is a free standing piece approximately 4 feet tall and 2½ feet square.

The idea to create the piece came from my research on labyrinths with their many paths that lead me to discover the hypothetical lines of force called “Lay Lines”.  Many spiritually historical places were created on this conceit, like Stonehenge and other similar places in the world.

I envisioned this energy emanating from the ground, creating the spiral/square as a geometric container delineating the area of pure energy emissions.
